Saturday Service Day
January 28, 10am-12pm
Join us at Pickering Creek Audubon Center for our first Saturday Service Day of the year. Help us tackle two important tasks in January. You can be a weed warrior removing invasive plants or engage your creative side by making suet bird treats to be distributed to community groups as part of our Great Backyard Bird Count activities in February.  Stay and wrap up the morning with a warming cup of hot chocolate or tea.

Saturday Service Day.  Volunteers of all ages and levels of birdwatching experience welcomed, to join experienced group leaders to count birds along trails all over the Center.

Saturday Service Day. Volunteers of all ages are invited to assist with mulching and other trail maintenance.

Gardening Day at Pickering

Saturday Service Day.Volunteers of all ages are welcome. We will be weeding and cleaning out garden beds at the Center. Volunteers are encouraged to bring a brown bag lunch and stay for Canoe cleaning and volunteer paddle afterwards.

Project Clean Stream Cleanup

Saturday Service Day. Volunteers of all ages are welcome. We will remove trash from wet woodlands across Sharp Rd as part of statewide activities for Project Clean Stream.

Native Planting Day

Saturday Service Day. Volunteers of all ages are welcome. Dig in and further improve habitat for wildlife. We will plant native plants in various spots throughout the Center. 


Bird Monitoring at Pickering Creek
Do you enjoy watching birds? You are invited to participate in two ongoing volunteer Bird monitoring programs at Pickering Creek. Volunteers of all abilities are welcome.

Third Monday each month, 8:00-10:00 am
Join an experienced birder on the 3rd Monday of each month from 8-10am for e-Bird monitoring along the Center’s trails.

Wednesdays and Thursdays, November 16-April 7
Enjoy watching and recording bird sightings from the comfort of the office on Wednesdays and Thursdays for project Feederwatch starting on November16.
